Physics-Driven Intelligence for Earth and Digital Innovation
PULSE Lab (Physics-Driven Unified Lab for Software & Data Intelligence) is a multidisciplinary research laboratory at Universitas Islam Negeri Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. The laboratory integrates physics-based modeling, computational intelligence, software engineering, and data science to address complex scientific, technological, and societal challenges.
Our research focuses on the intersection of geophysics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, scientific computing, cybersecurity, and digital system engineering. Through interdisciplinary collaboration, PULSE Lab develops advanced computational approaches to support earth science analysis, intelligent systems development, and evidence-based technological innovation.
The laboratory also promotes ethical technology development, open science practices, and data-driven decision making to support sustainable development and digital transformation.
To become a nationally leading multidisciplinary research center based on physics and intelligent computing with global competitiveness, integrating Geophysics, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, and Data Science to develop sustainable earth-science solutions and technological innovations.
1. To develop physics-driven research that integrates geophysical modeling with artificial intelligence algorithms and modern software engineering to produce internationally recognized scientific publications.
2. To build a data intelligence ecosystem through earth data management, analytics, and visualization that supports evidence-based decision making and innovation downstreaming.
3. To enhance research capacity among faculty members and students of the Faculty of Science and Technology through collaboration, mentoring, and training in intelligent computing and large-scale data processing.
4. To strengthen research collaboration networks with industry, government institutions, and international partners for practical applications in energy, disaster mitigation, and digital transformation.
5. To promote a culture of open science, responsible research, and academic ethics in developing knowledge that benefits society and sustainable development.
Comprehensive research, academic development, and scientific contributions within PULSE Lab.
The founding meeting of the PULSE Lab Research Group was held at the Informatics Engineering Program room, Faculty of Science and Technology. The discussion focused on defining the research direction, establishing the scientific scope of the laboratory, and organizing the initial roles and responsibilities among members.
PULSE Lab Research Group held an internal meeting to discuss research collaboration, internal grant mapping, and community service initiatives. The meeting also outlined the research roadmap, interdisciplinary collaboration among members, and preparation for upcoming research and community engagement proposals.
A discussion session was held to introduce a new member from the Psychology discipline who joined the PULSE Lab research team. The meeting continued with a strategic discussion on future research directions and interdisciplinary collaboration between cybersecurity and behavioral science.
